Beginnings
Growing up in Hertfordshire, Kit Miles was surrounded by craftsmanship, colour and creativity. Influenced by a family background in printing, a fascination with decorative arts, and an early love of making, drawing and invention became a constant part of daily life.
These formative experiences established a lasting curiosity about pattern, materiality and the relationship between art and interior space.
Founding the Studio
In 2013, Kit established his studio with the ambition of creating fabrics and wallcoverings that felt both artistically expressive and technically sophisticated. Rather than following trends, the studio developed its own distinctive visual language, balancing craft, storytelling and innovation.
Today, this philosophy continues to guide every collection, creating designs that seek to surprise, endure and form meaningful connections with the spaces they inhabit.
Recognition
The studio’s work has gained international recognition for its distinctive creative approach, appearing in leading interior design publications and projects around the world.
While the collections are celebrated for their visual richness and originality, the studio remains focused on the same principles that shaped its beginnings: curiosity, craftsmanship and creative exploration.
Looking Forward
Kit continues to create, loved by interior designers, architects and private clients internationally, designing collections designed for residential and hospitality projects the world over.
At its heart, the studio remains driven by a simple idea that pattern has the power to shape how we experience the spaces around us and reveal a world beyond surface.
